Detailed historical information about the green, gold, and white colors of Pacific Bible Seminary is not available at this time, but today Hope International University uses colors of blue, gray, and white. How, when, and why the colors were changed is not currently known.

The first reference to a hood lining pattern for Pacific Christian College was in Kevin Sheard’s Academic Heraldry in America (1962), where the lining was said to be green above white with a gold chevron in between. An identical description appeared in a 1972 list from the Intercollegiate Bureau of Academic Costume, but this was probably information the Bureau transcribed from Sheard’s book.
