Detailed information about the history of the crimson and gold school colors of Faith Theological Seminary is not available at this time.
Faith Theological Seminary does not appear in an early IBAC lists in 1927 or 1948, so the IBAC may not have assigned the college a hood lining until the late 1940s or 1950s. A list compiled by Kevin Sheard in Academic Heraldry in America (1962) described Faith’s hood lining as crimson with a gold reversed chevron, which was also how the college’s hood was described in an IBAC list from 1972. The heraldic pattern of the reversed chevron echoes the beams of illumination from the lighthouse in the seminary’s seal.
