Detailed historical information about the green and silver colors of Eastern New Mexico University is not available at this time, but the university’s green was traditionally a medium shade of “true” green.
The Intercollegiate Bureau of Academic Costume (IBAC) assigned Eastern New Mexico University a hood lining pattern in the 1960s. A list compiled by Kevin Sheard in Academic Dress and Insignia of the World (1970) and an IBAC list from 1972 both described the university’s hood lining as green with a silver chevron.
