Detailed historical information about the red, black, and silver colors of Barry College is not available at this time, but the shade of red was traditionally dark.

A 1972 list by the Intercollegiate Bureau of Academic Costume (IBAC) described the hood lining pattern of Barry College as silver gray above wine red with a black chevron in between. The Bureau must have assigned this pattern in the late 1940s or 1950s.
